  • Founding Principal Designer, Associate AIA

    Susana Goss, the Founding Principal, is an acclaimed designer whose work and life are informed by her diverse cultural background. Born in Portugal, she brings a unique perspective to her work, which has been shaped by her upbringing both in Europe and the United States.

    Susana holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and began her career in Boston, where she specialized in designing and managing urban infrastructure, luxury residential, and housing projects. It was during this time that she developed her talent as a collaborator, working closely with clients to understand their unique vision and translate it into intentional design solutions.

    In addition to her architectural practice, Susana served as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture, teaching students the importance of process-led design and cultivating a passion for education. This experience laid the foundation for her approach to every project, where she guides clients through a process of shedding preconceptions to reveal the heart of their home.

    With over 25 years of experience, Susana brings a signature approach to each project, combining her deep understanding of architecture, materials, and design with a keen ability to connect with her clients. Her unique combination of talents and expertise has earned her a reputation as an inspiring designer.

  • Visualization and Production

    Amy, Shed's Visualization and Production Designer, is a talented creative from Cincinnati, Ohio. Her journey in design began with her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from East Carolina University. Following this, she pursued her Associate of Science in Architectural Technology at Pitt Community College.

    Amy's professional career started with several years of experience in architectural drafting. During this time, she discovered her passion for the technical process of design in a creative environment. She soon realized that producing visuals that help clients truly envision their space is what drives her.

    Amy's unique skill set and collaborative approach make her an excellent addition to Shed's team. At Shed, where process is the most important piece of design, Amy has found a place where she can thrive. She is able to combine her technical knowledge and creativity to bring clients' visions to life.

  • Senior Designer

    Valerie is a seasoned interior designer with a wealth of expertise spanning over a decade. Her journey in the world of design has been marked by a fervent passion for creating harmonious spaces that seamlessly blend aesthetics and functionality.

    Valerie's professional journey began with her pursuit of a degree in Architecture, Building Sciences, and Sustainable Development, where she honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the intricate relationship between architecture, sustainability, and design.

    Valerie's career has been characterized by her collaborative spirit and her ability to translate her clients' visions into reality. Her strong communication skills and attentive approach ensure that each project is a true reflection of her clients' aspirations and needs.

    Beyond her professional accomplishments, Valerie's genuine enthusiasm for design is evident in every project she takes on. Her dedication to creating spaces that enhance lives, inspire creativity, and contribute to a more sustainable future showcases her unwavering commitment to the art and science of design.

Meet Our Founder

My passion for architecture and design started early in my life, inspired by the sensory memories of the places of my childhood — my attic bedroom window with the sill that nearly touched the floor, the plain brown siding and creaky front steps of our house on the busy city street, the light that bathed my bedroom of our midcentury modern ranch. 

A home is not just a physical structure and a container of our things, but a living entity that plays an active role in shaping our individual and shared experiences.

With this belief, I founded Shed Collaborative, with a mission to help clients like you create a home that reflects your values and aspirations. With a wealth of design experience and a commitment to creating timeless interiors that are personalized to each client, I am eager to work alongside you on this journey to create a home that is as unique as you are. 

At Shed Collaborative, we believe in the power of simplicity and that by stripping away the unnecessary, we can create spaces that are truly profound.
